Using the secure server

If you are on a web hosting plan or package with shared secure socket layer (SSL), you can use the secure server to encrypt important and sensitive information. However, we strongly recommend using the secure server only when absolutely necessary, such as when collecting credit card numbers or other bank information.
  1. Ask us to set-up the SSL for you. This is actually a new directory called "ssl" that will be installed in your root directory.
  2. Put the pages and files that you want shown securely in that "ssl" directory.
  3. To get to those pages using the secure server, link to the files in the following manner: https://www.netservers.net/domainname.com/filename where domain name is your domain name (i.e. food.com) and filename is the name of your file inside the "ssl" directory (i.e order.html).
